I lead Qarlbo Biodiversity, where we’re creating the infrastructure needed for nature to thrive in the economy: from biodiversity credit methodologies and data systems to real biodiversity-focused investments. My work lives where ecology meets capital — translating science into action, and action into long-term value.
I focus on unlocking serious capital for ecosystems, with integrity, urgency, and a commitment to measurable impact.

Biodiversity is declining at an alarming rate worldwide, threatening ecosystems that support food production, clean water, and a stable climate. Although much focus is placed on fighting climate change, the loss of species and habitats is an equally pressing crisis. Europe’s first biodiversity credit sale: A milestone for nature-positive finance
and Swedbank completed Europe’s first-ever sale of voluntary biodiversity credits in 2023 as a part of my licentiate research project.
This initiative developed and tested practical methodologies – Conservation, Restoration, and Improved Forest Management – tailored to Swedish production forestry. The pilot demonstrated that measurable, long-term biodiversity enhancements are both possible and investable.
